My name is Ruby (She/Her) and I’m a rope worker currently residing in Naarm, or so-called Melbourne, Australia. I acknowledge and pay my respects to the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which I live and create, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation; past, present and emerging.
Originally from Lutrawita/Tasmania I have a background in contemporary dance and choreography, receiving my Advanced Diploma in dance in 2019. I discovered rope during lockdown of 2020 and began self tying as a way to pass the time. As the world reopened I met new people in the Melbourne kink and rope community and my journey with rope continued, having experience now with bunnying, self suspending and tying others. I have been lucky enough to be mentored by a number of incredible rope workers and artists over the years who have passed on their wealth of knowledge and advice.
Over the past year my practice has shifted, now creating ties for shoots assisting with, and facilitating workshops. Recent projects include collaborations with photography studio Pleasing Pain, multidisciplinary artist Luke George, and independent content creators.

I hold myself to the standard of the Kink Educators Code of Conduct when tying in a professional setting, be that for creative shoots, teaching etc. I strive to create a safer space for all parties I engage with, where their comfort is a priority.
My accountability contact and reference is long time professional collaborator and mentor Luke George. I encourage anyone considering hiring me to reach out for a reference. If you would like further references please feel free to contact me here and I will pass on further contacts.
